Word asks if I want to delete selection. (Y/N) How to turn off?

When I highlight a selection and hit Delete key, a new message pops up at
bottom of screen asking "Delete Block? No(Yes)" Need to to hit "Y" to
proceed with deletion.

How do I turn off this "feature"?
