I have several documents that are copied and changed.
They take a long time to open.
I understand that it is becasue they use an old template that was on a drive
no longer used.
HOW do I change the template to normal?

Thanks, TES

If you don't have the Developer tab showing on the ribbon, go to Office
button > Word Options and enable it.

On the Developer tab, click the Document Template button. In the dialog,
click the Attach button and choose the Normal.dotm template.

Hi TES,

You can also access that dialog without the Developer tab (a number of companies disable that tab on deployment) by using the
keyboard shortcut of
Alt, T, I
