Word 2003-date problem in footer

When a footer, and clicking on Insert/Autotext/Header-footer/Created on

I get the wrong date/year and time.

The date/time on the computer itself is correct (running windows XP)

How can this be corrected so it picks up the right time/date from the
computer?

Is this a newly created document? Has it been saved? If it is unsaved, the
CreateDate will probably be that of the template.

We did test with both saved and unsaved documents on that and other machines.
Other machines always showed the correct date/time. Only that machine is
showing wrong date/time. (Whether saved or unsaved)
