Suddenly a winxp pro install won't boot. Get STOP code:

"windows log on process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0x00000080"

We tried all the options with selective startup, and none worked expect for
recovery console, and I don't know what to do with that command prompt.

I'd like to get to system restore and go back a day or so.

How to do?

At the command prompt, type the following:

%SystemRoot%\system32\restore\rstrui.exe
