When I open up my laptop after having it closed I get the message "The last attempt to start the system from its previous location failed. Attemp to restart again. Delete restoration data and proceed to system boot menu." Any ideas on how I can correct this. It is becoming very annoying.

The hardware is not completely compatible with the energy saving modes
of Windows XP. Try using Standby instead of Hibernation, also try
starting Hibernation mode manually instead of by closing the laptop
(if you do so currently).
Makre sure that the latest drivers for all hardware is installed. Also
contact the manufacturer of the laptop for if there is a solution
available to this problem.
