Startup error after hibernating

After trying to turn on my computer after hibernating the RESUMING WINDOWS...
screen comes up and it loads up then a blue screen with text shows up but
switches too fast to read waht it says.

The next screen says:
The last attempt to restart the system from its previous location failed.
Attempt to restart again?

Delete restoration data and proceed to system boot menu
Continue with system restart

I dont know what the restoration data does but I kieep trying the continue
system restart and the same thing happens over and over. i treid restarting
and shutting of my computer and nothing is working.
Does the delete restoration data do something serious (im scared, my LIFE is
on my compute rnad have no recent backups)? I cant even get the screen to
start it in safe mode. HELP!

"Delete restoration" will just delete the "hiberfil.sys" file in the root directory of your C:\
drive. Select that option to boot normally.

If it STILL won't boot, you'll have to delete that file manually.

One way would be to put that drive in another computer as a slave and delete "hiberfil.sys"
Another way would be to boot to the WinXP CD, install the Recovery Console, and delete it from
the console's command prompt. You'll need to clear the hidden attribute too.

attrib -h c:\hiberfil.sys

del c:\hiberfil.sys
