Hibernate restart problem

Have been using the hibernate feature for years (WINXP SP2) and now on
one of my computers doesn't seem to want to restart. Black screen
reads: The system could not be restarted from its previous location due
to a read failure. Then by accepting this "delete restoration data and
proceed system boot menu" it does a normal boot and all is well. Is
there a fix for this? Many thanks for any help...

You may want to download the disk diagnostic software from the drive
manufacturers website and check the drive for problems.
