Won't open

My internet explorer will not open. I try to open it and it will say
"internet explorer has experienced a problem and needs to shut down"

This is what it says
The App Name: iexplore.exe
App Ver: 6.02900.2180
Mod Ver: 6.02900.3059
Offset: 00004629
ModName: wininet.dll

So I have been trying to fix it. I have ran adaware and mcafee scans and
both came up with nothing. Also, I deleted all search bars such as google
and yahoo and aol.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi,
Wininet errors are very often caused by a corrupted cache (Temporary
Internet Files folder.)

This [> App Ver: 6.02900.2180] indicates that you're running XP SP2.
So...
Try deleting the Temporary Internet Files folder for the affected user
account. A new folder will be created on restart. Login as another user with
administrator privileges, or from the machine's default administrator
account (startup in safe mode.) Make sure that you can see hidden and system
files (Folder Options> View) Then delete the affected TIF folder from
Windows Explorer. It will be at [C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local
Settings\Temporary Internet Files] Restart.

Hope this helps,

.. It could be a problem with an addi n. If you have any third party add ins
disable them. Go to tools, manage add ons in IE 7 or it could be corrupt and
you may want to reinstall another version from MS over it. Try that.
Best regards,
Kaja
