IE 6 for SP2 keeps crashing

Everytime I try to log onto Yahoo or my work email, I get an error message
saying that Internet explorer must close. This is what is in the error
report.

AppName: iexplore.exe AppVer: 6.0.2900.2180 ModName: wininet.dll
ModVer: 6.0.2900.2518 Offset: 0001b8f0

I have tried emptying my temporary internet files, deleting history, running
a virus scan, adaware, and spybot but still nothing is helping.

Although I would gladly ditch internet explorer for firefox, I still need
it to access my company's intranet, so hopefully someone can help me resolve
this issue. Thanks.
