WMV conversion to Playable CD or DVD

I created a Video Slide Show of my friend's wedding. It's in WMP format and
they asked me to convert it to something that will play on any DVD player.

How do I go about that? I tried Windows Movie Maker and burned a PAL
conversion to a CD-R and my DVD player did not recognize the file...

What steps should I take?
Thanks,
Bill

WMP format? Do you mean
..wmv or possibly .mswmm?

To create a disk that will play
in a stand alone DVD player
and view it on your TV...you
need authoring software that
can create a VCD (if you only
have a CD-RW burner) or a DVD
(if you have a DVD-RW burner).

offer some ideas:

Yes WMV. I created the original Slide show in Photoshop Elements 4.0
and outputted it to Windows Media Player. I then erased the
original...aaagghhh So now I have this WMV file that plays very well
on PC's but not at all on DVD players. So I'm trying to convert the
WMV file to a file that plays on a DVD player. I have both CD and DVD
burners...

Yes...now I see .wmv in your subject line...doh!

Anyway...you shouldn't have to convert the .wmv
file...most of the current authoring software should
be compatible with it. NeroVision Express, ULead,
ProShow Gold, WinDVD, Roxio...etc...etc....

I would recommend you to download and install the VSO ConvertXtoDVD on your system for this since this apppication will definitely help you to create your dvd you do not need any external codecs like the avi codec. You can also Create DVD menus with different templates available, possibility to add background video, image or audio, have chapter and audio/subtitle menus.
ConvertXtoDVD - top-choice AVI to DVD video conversion software - convert and burn any videos such as Avi to DVD, WMV to DVD, MKV to DVD, YouTube to DVD, ogm, MPEG to DVD, quicktime mov to DVD.I suggest you can download its trail version to burn your avi movie.
Hope that it can do your a favor.

Are you really that much of a moron or just stupid. No one here cares about
your pushing a download of a program especially to a 4 year old egghead
post.
