DVD player error when reading WMM CD

In using Windows Movie Maker to make a video CD of my digital photos, I
noticed that my video CDs are not playable on my DVD player. (By the way, my
DVD player does play video CDs). This seems to be a problem for lots of
people from what I
have been reading. Do I have to buy another program to make video CDs, or is
there a way to get WMM to burn the CD in a format that my DVD player will
recognize? It appears that WMM uses a format that DVD players do not
recognize. Can anyone help me?

I have heard of Adobe and other programs, but it is overhwelming trying to
decide which company to go with. Will I get better quality results from
brands like Adobe and others than I will with WMM?

Your DVD Player plays VCD's but if you clicked on "Save to CD" what you
ended up with is a CD with the WMV or AVI file on it and your DVD player
likely doesn't play that.

You need a DVD Authoring program to create a VCD that plays in a standard
DVD player. See the DVD Creation section of my website.

As wojo says the format will be incompatible with your dvd player, it is
most likely a HiMat format cd, try it in your pc, it should play there ok.
Then use wojo's suggestion and make a vcd or svcd.
