Video degraded under WMM

Hi,

I generated a video (with snagit but i have the same issue with other
capture video software). The quality of the movie is well, but when i import
it on Windows Movie Maker (version 2.0 under windows XP Pro), the quality of
the video is degraded even before to generated a movie with WMM.

So, the problem is around WMM.

On WMM, I tried to change the format of the video (PAL, NTSC, 16:9 4:3),
but, i had the same problem.

Any help please.

Thanks a lot.

Regards,
N

If you view the clip from the Collections pane
the resolution will be better than it is when you
view it from the Timeline/Storyboard. This is
by design and doesn't affect the saved movie.

You may be able to improve the quality of the
movie by using a Custom Profile when saving.

Personally, I use the following .wmv profile
when saving movies.
SlideShow-1024x768WMV9

Download from the following site...

Movie Maker 2 - Saving
Movies - Custom WMV Profiles

or...

Right click / Save as...drop it in the following folder:
C:\Program Files\Movie Maker\Shared\Profiles folder
(if there is no Profiles folder...you will have to create it)

Choose 'SlideShow-1024x768WMV9' when you save...

File / Save Movie File / My Computer / Next / Next /
Show more choices / Other Settings...
