WMP9

In reading post's in the last month many folks are reporting CD WRITE
errors, Insert Blank CD when there is already a NEW CD in the drive, Whurrrs
away then doesn't close the disk, reports unknown error, Most replies
suggest obtaining NERO which I agree is the best resolution, however
upgrading WMP9 advertised to improve "the media expirence" All I can see
that has changed is the ability for MS to control even further the ability
or inability to copy music, which includes media that is created by other
programs such as Sonic Foundry's ACID products, I spent days thinking the
problems were "MY SYSTEM" problems, changed media manufacturers, no avail,
3 -4 trys and wasted cds WMP9 will succeed in burning a cd, and this is only
after purchasing InterVideo Plug in which supposedly enables CD Burning in
WMP9, Hmm I thought, If it enables writing CD's, then unknown to us WMP9
users Cd writing has been DISabled at sometime, I purchased it and 1st CD
Perfect, then subsequent burns back to He!!

Just Blowin Steam !!
Any comments??

.
99% of the time when problems arise from the CD-ROM not
playing or recording, is caused by the AutoPlay not
activated. Start/MyComputer/rightclick the "D"
drive/properties/AutoPlay tab - now check for "music" if
the autoplay is set for the specific program preferred
such as WindowsMediaPlayer or MusicMatch Jukebox, etc.
