wmp 11- plays music from disc, but wont from coppied files

my player, (9, or 11) will play music from my cd's, but wont play music
already ripped from ther cd's, or music ive down loaded from the net. it
didnt do this before i updated from 9 to 11.

Use this freeware to rip files. Once ripped (in either wave or mp3 format)
will WMP play them ?

Don't forget to download the Lame Encoder as well (for ripping in mp3
format). Follow the instructions.
