WMM Video/Audio Capture Problem

I'm using an HP m7330n Pc with Windows xp Media Center and AMD64 4200. When I
use WMM to capture video from my analog camera, (Sharp Handy Cam 8MM) I can
capture the video but there is no sound. Tried everything. What am I doing
wrong?

Do you have the audio out from the cam connected to the line in of the pc,
and have this selected in both volume control and the capture programme?

Yes. I checked both and they are set correctly. The cord from the camcorder
has a single connector to the camcorder and the other end is split. One
yellow for video and the other white for audio. I have tried connecting the
white connecter only to the audio input on the the pc and have also tried
splitting it with a y adapter so that I can connect the audio into both the
red and white jacks. Still no luck.
