WMM hanging up

i've just started using WMM. Why does it keep locking up on me. Twice it
did so when I added a transition between clips and twice it locked up on me
when I was editing and entering additional clips of video. It will play
whatever I select from the video transfers in the selection area, but will
not play the storyboard.

Any tips or solutions to this?
