ActiveMovie Window interferes with WMM

When I click on a .mpg clip in Collections, it opens up in "ActiveMovie
Window" instead of the WMM video window. When I drag the clip to the
Timeline, "ActiveMovie Window" disapears, but the clip doesn't show up on
Timeline or in the WMM video window. The audio will play, but no video. I
tried turning off the filters and the "ActiveMovie Window" stops, but still
no video in the Timeline or the WMM video window.

Typical of trying to work with MPG clips.
Try converting to WAV and the problem should go away.

Sorry, guess I wasn't specific enough: I'm talking about MPEG clips here.

oops that was a typo on my part.
Convert the MPG to AVI is what I meant to say.
WMM does not work well with MPEG files and not at all with MPEG2 files.
