Playing Media Files

How can I stop the Activemovie window opening up when I am playing a
mediafile? When I play my mediafiles on other computers in Windows Media
player, they play in mediaplayer, not in an additional activemovie window. I
have looked for active movie, to uninstall it, but cannot find it.

The video type in question is associated with whatever program is opening
it.
The easiest way to change the file association is to right click the video
file and go to "Open With..."
Click "Choose Program..."
Make sure there is a checkmark in the box next to "Always use the selected
program..."
Find Media Player in the list of programs and select it then click OK.
Now when you open that particular filetype it should open in Media Player.
If you encounter the same problem again with a different video it is because
that video has a different extension so you need to follow the same
procedure again on that video.
