Preview screen does not work when playing the Time line

Hey i figured out everything with this program accept for the face when i put
a file into the ( time line ) and try to play a preview it just shows a
blank screen ( time still passes like its playing on preview) IF i put audio
in it i can hear the audio playing but cannot see the video. now if i go
ahead and save this as a movie and play it in media player i see the video
and the audio on the movie just fine.

When the video clip is in the ( Collection window ) i can see the preview
perfectly when i play it. only time cant see it is when its in the
timeline/storyboard part.

I have version WMM 2.1.4026.0
the files i am playing are AVI formatt from ( Gamecam)
the Music is from MP3 formatt and works just fine.


This problem makes it impossible to put in text where i want it and really
get into editing a video. Anyhelp would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Movie Maker 2.1...
Audio but no Video...

It may be because the DV codec in your
system has gone astray...

Execute the following batch file to fix it:
