Importing MPEG - No Picture !

When I import a mpeg movie file and then drag it to the
time line, it appears on the 'Audio/Music' line only i.e.
there is nothing on the Video timeline. However if I
play it in Windows Media Player, everything (sound and
picture) is there.

Anyone know what the problem might be?

Also if I click on the imported file in the 'Collections'
window, a separate ActiveMovie Window opens and I can see
the picture in it.

Give your 'puter time to fully import the file. Check the timeline for a "first frame" image on each clip. If no image, the 'puter is still working on the importing. Also, the audio should show a frequency of the sound. My son told me: Dad, be patient". It works almost all the time. You can watch the hard drive light on the front of your 'puter and when it is flashing, MM2 is still working. When the light stops flashing, the clip is fully imported. Good luck!
