Vista Business and No Video with WMM

Using Vista Business. Always updated from Microsoft and Sony Vaio site. WMM
6.0 used to work. Only video transitions and audio play when playback in
preview screen. All clips show up fine on the story board. Format is mpeg. I
think its a CODEC issue but what do I know? Please help. Steve

I just figured it out. mpeg 2 do not play on my Vista machine. I converted to
mpeg 1, lost resolution but it played. Any comments? Does WMM 6.0 play mpeg 2
or am I missing something? Steve

Vista Home Premium and Ultimate versions include an MPEG2 codec, but other
versions don't unless added by the computer maker.

If an MPEG2 file doesn't work in a project, you should convert it to
something else before importing. See my website's Import Movie Source Files
