So if fifty drivers in your town run a red light today and kill a
number of citizens, it's ok for you to run one as well?

I personaly think the best use for a
device like this
is in the typical networking environment where users have bad habits of
downloading
all sorts of nasty little critters, ok yeah domain controllers can tame the
users to an extent
but as a low cost solution for small networks its definatly a must have.

That is why the card is especially used mainly in schools and
libraries. OTOH, with such a card, a system update has to be
"announced" to the card, else it would be wiped with the next reboot. I
don't know how exactly this is done (I guess this involves a new
snapshot which hsa to be authorized with a password), but it might be a
tedious procedure.

Maintaining the machines to keep them up to date, still will take the
same time as before, and authorizing the changes needs someone who
keeps telling the card "this change is ok". I don't know whether this
can be done by remote anministration, or requires the sneakernet
approach.

Have your cycles synchronized? ;-)

Not exactly. My PCs do better than me. And when one of those started
behaving oddly, I recommended "her" to change "her" "doctor", which
helped a lot.

Explanation: I had used H+BEDV AntiVir for quite some time, but
suddenly my laptop with a PIII would throw up exceptions, and I
wondered why, yet after the next signature the problem was gone. Two
months later, it started again, and this time would not go away. I
uninstalled AntiVir, and used AVG instead.

hmm interesting site, but to be honest im not overly bothered about
termination of service because i'll use
a cheaper ISP with a static IP and i'll get my tv through the aerial and a
voip service for the phone... infact being booted off blueyonder wouldnt
work out too bad

That's not the point you antisocial ****wit - I tried to explain it to
you just in case you didn't realize what harm it causes others. But now
it is evident you just don't give a damn about spewing crap that can
cause others' hardship.

It's "waste" not "waist". And "valuable" not "valuble". I'm not even
going to address the other errors.

Probably the result of too much acid, eh?

There's a reason isp's policies include the right to terminate the
connections of users who repeatedly allow virus or trojan infected
computers to be connected to the internet.

If the isp's don't terminate such users connections, they will end up
having their mail servers listed in block lists, such as the
Abusive Hosts Block List (AHBL). See http://www.ahbl.org/

When their customers start leaving, because other isps will not
except email, or other connections, from them, the isp loses money.
It's in the isps fincancial interesest, to maintain the trust of
other isps, since losing that trust, means they lose the ability
to provide good internet connectivity. How can they make a profit,
with nothing to sell?

You'll find that any isp, worth buying a connection from, will have
similar policies.

While it may be in your financial interest to move to a different
isp, at this time, eventually you may find yourself running out
of local isps willing to accept you, as a customer, unless you
learn to practice safe hex.

LOL! If you really want to leave blueyonder, why don't you
just move on your own? Using passive aggressive techniques, to
try and get them to terminate your account for you, just
makes you look immature.

I've had similar problems over the years with a number of AV programs.
