WIRELESS ZERO CONFIGURATION

Can someone please explain to me what this is? It is under "services" in
my computer management....The explanation is that it "provides automatic
configuration for the 802.11 adapters". And by the way, what is that?

It's for wireless networking setup. It's set to recognize a wireless network
adapter, if and when you install one. It make wireless configuration easier.

Those are the WiFi adapters for wireless networking between machines.
You would know if you had them and put them to use; if you have not you
might as well have it disabled
