Wireless Internet Connection

I'm using PCMCIA wireless card to connect Internet. My ISP requires dialing
to make connection, like using modem. When I closed XP Pro with standby
option or laptop cover, it went to suspension mode. Everything was alright
after resumption, but not for making wireless Internet connection. Task bar
showed excellent wireless signal strength. It took a number of times of
dialing and could not connect. Until restarting XP, it worked as never
being put on suspension. Is there any clue to eliminate XP restart?
Thanks.

Hi Charles,

See if this helps:

Right click My Computer Icon/Properties/Hardware/Device Manager. Expand
Network Adapters/Right click the adapter in question/Properties. Select
Power Management and uncheck: Allow the computer to turn off the device to
save power.

Hi Kelly,

There was no power management for the wireless card. It did for built-in
LAN card. Then I tried "Power Save Mode" property in tab "Advanced". The
default was "disabled". I changed it to "enabled". I repeated the
scenario, but it didn't work. Is there other clue?

Thanks,

Charles
