wireless card problem

Ok, this is a weird problem....

I just bought a Linksys dual band wireless card for my desktop, and when I
shut down my computer, it automatically restarts again! This has nothing to
do with the "automatic restart from critical error" command, in fact I've
found nothing about this problem online at all!

Once, I had the computer off, and while I was installing the card it
automatically came on! Is it possible that the computer has a setting to turn
on if it detects a network, or something?

Can anyone help me?

In device manager under the drivers for the network card is there a setting
to allow this device to bring the computer out of stand by? or wake on LAN?
could that be it
