Wireless and Ethernet

I have a new laptop with XP home, a 10/100 NIC and 802.11 wireless.

I can connect to the internet using either the ethernet or the wireless just
fine.

The issue I'm having is that I want to use either connection to share files
between my home computers. When I run the XP home network wizard, it will
only offer me the wireless connection as a way to share files. Thus if I
have the ether cable plugged in and wireless turned off, I can't share
files.

I have turned the firewall off on both connections before running the
wizard and it still only will set up the wireless for home networking. I
also have all the cables connected and all the wireless components turned
on.

These are the steps I follow:

1. Click "Set up a home or small office network"
2. Select "other" and then "This computer connnects to the internet directoy
or through a network hub..." (I have everything going through my wireless
router)
3. This is where I get confused. The wizard asks me which connection is
likely to be correct... no matter which I pick the outcome of the wizard is
the same.
4. When I get to Select Connections To Bridge, I only see the wireless and
my 1394 port, and no ethernet port in the list. I ran the setup on the same
model laptop yesterday and remember seeing all 3 conns in this list..
5. I can finish the wizard at this point, but it's pointless, I want my
Ethernet connection included in sharing files. (I have finished it though
and I definitely am not sharing files over the ether)

Anybody got some quick points on what I'm doing wrong?

TIA,
Tweek.

Okay guys I just ran it again... it works with the wireless turned off so
long as I connect to each computer with the wireless first... weird. I have
now mapped the other pc's to network drives and am able to reboot and
reconnect no problem using the ethernet.
