Wireless Router Help

My pc is connected by ethernet cable to a non-wireless router located in
another part of my building. I intend to connect the internet cable
(currently connected to my pc) to a wireless router and then have the
wireless router distribute the internet signal to my labtop and another pc
with wireless network card. I would like to know if this will work before I
go buy the wireless router.

Thank you in advance

Yes, it will work. Make sure to enable appropriate security
settings so that people driving past cannot tap into your network.

A simpler solution with a simpler device would be to use a Wireless Access
Point (WAP) which is not a NAT Device, and plug the WAP into the existing
Wired Router (NAT Device). All the machines with wireless Nics will connect
in via the WAP.

Same security precautions exist as described by Pegasus.
