I have been trying to install XP Pro on a new Asus K8N-E Deluxe with AMD
64bit 3400+ with 3 sticks of 512Mb pc2700 memory.

I have been getting several errors after which I would remove one thing
after another to try again but to no avail.

The most recent error was:

STOP: 0x00000024 (0x001902FA, 0xF6CE6708, 0xFCE6408, 0xf762b4c6)

NTFS.SYS - Address F762B4C6 BASE AT F75FE000, DATESTAMP 3d6de5c1

I have tried to find some sort of error code site but no luck.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks in advance!!!!

Strip the system down to the bare basics.

Motherboard / CPU / 1 stick of RAM / Video / hard drive / cd-rom drive.

And have all the options in the BIOS set to the safe/default values.

SO then after installation I can add the memory and other hard drive back?

Did you read the manual that came with your motherboard, specifically the
section that deals with populating all three RAM slots?

Hint: If not...go read it now...
