hiberfil.sys

Jim

After going into hybernation the system will no longer
boot into Windows XP. I am unable to get access to the
hiberfil.sys file to delete it. I added another HD to the
system and loaded the OS on it successfully however, when
I add the HD to the configuration that has the
hiberfil.sys file on it the system will not go into
windows. I can't even boot into any of the Safe Mode
options. If I boot into the system with the CD and try to
use the Recovery Console I receive the following error:

Hi Jim,
Try a Repair Install.
If you opt Recovery Console restoration then at the Command Prompt in
Recovery Console type :-
COPY C:\Windows\ServicePackFiles\I386\NTFS.SYS C:\Windows\System32\drivers

Thanks for the reply, but I'm also unable to get into the
Command Prompt through the Recovery Console as well.
