Hi all-

I installed xp sp2 on 2 computers with out a problem. Everything works
fine, except with ZoneAlarm installed it needed a bit of fiddling
around.

However when I double click on Disc Detector in the control panel, my
systems crash - with a screen dump - blue screen (!).

I wonder if anyone else has had a similar problem.

What is Disc Detector?

It's some sort of software by Creative Labs that gets installed with
their soundcards. I always disable it immediately. However, if the OP
really wants it, go to Creative's tech support site and see if there is
a patch to make the program compatible with SP2.

This is a control panel utility - I think this is installed by
creative labs. It came installed on my Dell Dimension 4550.
