WinXP can burn cd's built in, but not DVD's?

Kinda stupid question.....

I know WinXP Pro has the ability built into to drag/drop files on cd's to
burn.
Can you not do the same with dvd's?

XP does not have the ability to burn DVD's

The engine of the inbuilt burning (which is very basic) does not support
DVD
