WinXP boot hangup....

E

EW

Has anyone seen this: frequently, after signing in and booting just up to
the XP desktop, the rest of the bootup process hangs, with the hour glass
going.... and going.... The taskbar (on bottom) is empty and nothing works.
However, I can successfully reboot after using Ctrl-Alt-Del and selecting
Restart.

Note: after Ctrl-Alt-Del, the Task Manager shows all process running (I
think)!??

Any ideas? Thanks.

Check the Processes tab of the Task Manager for any
processes that are hanging at 100% CPU Usage.

Good idea, but my CPU is near 0% during the hang-up. Very strange, but not
to worry much -- my restarts always work out. Thanks.
