I am using windows XP SP2 X86. I have a HP laptop and the specs are :Intel
C2D 2.00 ghz, 2GB Ram, GeForce 8600M GS, 250 HDD..When I boot up my system
without connecting my optical wireless mouse, everything works fine..I can
use my touch pad and access perfectly..when I connect the mouse, the taskbar
freezes..I cannot right click on it..including the start button, taskbar
icons etc..the only way for me is to do a ctrl+alt+del, bring up the task
manager and re start the explorer.exe process..it happens frequently..is
there any permanent fix to this issue?? its becoming frustating to do this
everytime...

Yes..I use a microsoft wireless optical mouse and install the drivers
provided by the manufacturer..I also found out that when I bootup the system
with the mouse connected, the taskbar does not work..I re start the
explorer.exe and then the task bar works again..
