I use WinXP pro, MS Office XP and McAffee´s Internet
Security package that includes a firewall. Everytime
that I open a MS Office application (word, Excel, etc.)
McAffee advises me that the MS Office app is attempting
to connect to the internet. Why do MS Office apps try to
connect to the internet each time, what are they trying
to do and how can I stop this?

Office XP's Help function will access a Microsoft server
in order to update the "Help" files. If you do not desire
this action, simply tell your McAfee program to not allow
this access.
