Winsock Files

I deleted AOL and it removed my "Winsock Files" I am
trying to connect to a cable modem and can ping my IP
address but cannot ping my domain address. My computer is
was given to me and I do not have a system recovery disk.
How can I download these files from Microsoft? I will
need to download from one computer and transfer to my
computer. Can you please tell me how to do this and what
files I need to download?

I would appreciate any help you can give me on this
situation.
