Winsock Error Message

One of the many things that have gone wrong lately with
my PC includes the message "Unable to find file
Winsock2.exe, please check to ensure you have typed the
word correctly . . . This shows up during start up. Is
there an easy fix? I've tried system restore to a point
where this message didn't exist, but it's still showing
up. My scanner has stopped working but that is another
post.

I'm not sure, but you may want to try and do a Google
search for Winsock2.exe . I did, and this forum I found
