Resetting the winsock

Someone reset the winsock on my computer, and now everything is messed up.
some of the web pages dont load right, the graphic o the pages are out of
sync, also some of my program dont load right.

What can i do to fix this? i tried to do a system restore , but cant go back
far enoungh

If your browser is Internet Explorer 7 you'd want to do a Reset &
revert it back to basic settings. From IE's toolbar, Internet Options,
Advanced (TAB), Reset button at lower portion of the window.

Be careful who you allow access to your PC. Not a week goes by
that I don't get called in to fix something a helpful, but inept person
does to someone's computer. If some programs do not load or
work properly that sounds like more was done than a Winsock reset.

it was done by one of the so called techs at verizon, now i have been
fighting with for 5 days to get it fixed, what should i do
