winlogon.exe

when I boot I get the following message "winlogon.exe_bad image" dll c:\windows\system32\sfc_os.dl
most programs won't run and the display settings have to changed to 4 bit color. I cannot change the display setttings because there are now no other options such as 32 bit color. System restore does not work. Any help would be appreciated

Try running Start>Run
"sfc /scannow"
