windsys.exe - missing

I had avirus and the virus protection program could anly
delete the winsys.exe and not clean it. I am wondering if
this is a valid windos file or just one that the virus
created so that the virus cleaning program would not clean
and only delete

This about XP Embedded.

...but be shure that winsys.exe is not part of the
standard XP Prof or XP home files
