? Do you have to have WindowsXP installed in order to run
OfficeXP? I already am running WindowsMe along with
Office2000, and have the opportunity to use OfficeXP Small
Business. I am realy confused with the pro's and cons with
these. ?????????

Office XP Small Business version is only available with
new computers. You can only install it on the new computer
it came with. You'll need to purchase your own "retail"
copy of Office XP and it'll run fine on Windows ME.

Greetings --

Office 97 Small Business Edition was available only as an OEM
(factory-installed) license. Such a license is permanently bound to
the PC with which it was purchased, and may not be transferred to
another computer under any circumstances.

The XP is just a marketing term for the products that came out in 2001.
Office XP will run perfectly well on Windows ME - as will Office 2000 on
Windows XP. For myself I don't see much point in upgrading Office 2000;
the additions seem mainly concerned with 'team working' aspects
