Installation

I was attacked by the Sassar virus and had to restore my
computer to its original setting. I had purchased
Office2000 upgrade and OfficeXP upgrade, which was
installed before the Worm. I'm trying to re-install both
back on my computer and I get a message that there is no
product compliance on my machine.

What can I do?

Thanks a million!

I would ask the question in the Office groups.

If you brought the upgrade disks then you will need to have a valid copy
installed before installing the upgrade.

Just try to install the OfficeXP upgrade using the Office 2000 CD
validating media. If that doesn't work [I know it works for MS OSs],
then go out and buy a cheap OEM copy of Office 97.

You need the Office 97 or earlier to upgrade from or a copy of MS
Works, to install -Upgrades- to Office 2000/XP. Hence the name
upgrade, you upgrade from an old version to a new version.
