Windows2k Print Server - HELP

B

Bruce Moulton

I've been using a Windows NT4 print server and wanted to
upgrade to a Windows2k print server. I have successfully
converted all the print queues to the new server. Now,
my NT4 workstations can not print to my HP8150dn network
printer. All the other O/S's (XP/2000/98) work just
fine. I've tried changing the Windows2K server to use
version 2 drivers but that did not work. What am I doing
wrong?

See

Have you tried to actually deleting the printers and the drivers from the NT
4 workstations, then adding them again? It's not a simple matter with NT 4
to delete the drivers, but see
http://members.shaw.ca/bsanders/CleanPrinterDrivers.htm. If you do all the
steps 1 through 12, then RESTART Windows NT 4, this should clean up the old
drivers. Make sure you do the restart before attempting to add the network
printers again.
