NT4 WS AND 2000 SERVER PRINT PROBLEMS

Hello,

I have a problem that is cracking me up. Not sure if this
is a Nt4 Workstation problem or a Windows 2000 server
problem.

We had a nt4 server on our network and it is a bdc and the
clients are a mixture of win98, 2000 and 1 nt4 workstation
machine.

There is a printer on the network, a HP Laserjet 4100
which is connected to the network via it's own card but
was actually shared out via the Nt4 server machine and all
could print to it via the server.

However, recently the nt4 server was upgraded to Windows
2000 and now for some reason the nt4 workstation machine
cannot print to the laserjet on the network. In fact I
cannot add the printer to the machine. When I try and add
the printer I get 'access denied' When I browse the
network for printers the server name comes up but the
little plus mark will not expand to show the printer and
when trying to manually type the unc I get the access
denied.

I've tried removing and re-adding the nt4 workstation to
the domain, removing and reinstalling tcp/ip but no joy.
The machine can do everything else on the network like
access the net and access email which is all managed by
the new windows 200 server so it is not as if the nt4 ws
machine cannot deal with the 2000 server.

I've also added the latest nt4 ws service pack to the
machine but still no joy.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Ruairi
