My son deleted his administrator log in file on accident. can someone please
tell me if there is a way to get it back. He can not delte old files or clean
out his computer without the administrator. How can we find out.

The built in administrator [named administrator by default] account can not
be deleted so he needs to logon as that account. In XP Home you need to boot
into Safe Mode to logon as the built in administrator account which may have
a blank password. If the built in administrator account can not access or
delete files that account will need to first take ownership of the
folders/files and then grant himself full control permissions to them. The
