My widows xp x64 can't recognize my USB card reader and my digital
camera
Also my monitor has built in SD card reader and it connects to PC via
USB
the card reader part of the monitor does not work either

It looks like the windows xp x64 can't recognize any USB mass storage
device

Can someone help with this ?

Thanks

If you haven't tried refreshing the USB drivers, you can try that.
Go to Start/Run, and type DEVMGMT.MSC , highlight all the USB Root Hub
devices, Action menu, "Uninstall", then Action menu, "scan for hardware
changes", to find the device drivers again automatically.

I did all this but when I try to install it gives me an error message
"The hardware was not installed because the wizard can not find the
necessary software"

I have no idea what to do
non of the hardware i mentioned has x64 driver available on the
manufacturers site

The USB SD car reader didn't come with software
It just worked without installation on the 32 bit version of windows
xp
