windows xp & windows 98

I SEEM TO HAVE WINDOWS 98 AND XP STUCK IN MY COMPUTER. I
CANNOT USE MY OLD PROGRAMS. THERE IS THIS THING ABOUT A
PARTICIAN ??? AND SYSTEM 32. I AM ALMOST OUT OF HARD
DRIVE. I DON'T THINK MY COMPUTER IS UPDATED ENOUGH TO USE
XP. I WANT TO TAKE XP OUT AND GO BACK TO 98. PLEASE HELP
 
Delete the ntldr, boot.ini, ntdetect.com files in C:\ and sys the C drive
with a Windows 98 boot disk.
