Windows XP Upgrade

Every time the XP upgrade disc reaches a point during
installation where it says 41 minutes remaining, the
screen goes black and the laptop is not reading the disc
anymore. When I restart the installation, it always gets
to the same point and does the same thing. Any help would
be appreciated.

I ended up staying with XP Home and not upgrading to Pro,
I had no compelling reason to go to Pro anyway. If you
are going to XP from Win 98 hopefully you can keep your
data and reformat and start clean with XP.
