I had a hard drive crash. After reinstalling Windows XP I
had to go through the hours of update downloads all over
again. Which files can I save to a CD in case my hard drive
goes out again?

I am sure that Microsoft will want to install the programs
through it's update program but I would like to have the
software already loaded on my drive to save time.

Is this possible?

Hello
yes you can burn them to a CD open the windows update
page and look on the left and find the link to previous
installed updates and and then you can save them and burn
them
Hope this helps
