Windows XP updates shows as Windows 98

HI
When I use windows update to search for updates, the
results come back and it asks me to choose which updates
to install. However, it shows Windows 98 and Windows 98 SE
instead og Windows XP. Is this an issue.....do I need to
change this?
I am definitely using Eindows XP home edition

It should NOT show 98 or 98SE.
