Windows XP System Error???

G

Guest

I'm getting this error sometimes when I've started up my computer. It goes
away for a few days, then comes back and won't stop occuring...

"Windows - System Error : Microsoft Windows detected and recovered from a
device failure. Please save your work and reboot to restore full
functionality."

It then goes into "Safe Mode".

It started a few weeks ago. When it pops up, I restart and after about 5
minutes, it comes back up again. It's very annoying, and I have no idea what
is causing it. I sent the error log to the Windows site and it says something
about a problem with a driver, but it doesn't give specific instructions on
how to find the faulty driver and fix it.

Can someone help?

Hi,

Control Panel/System applet/Advanced/startup and recovery settings, are you
set to do a minidump on system failure?
